Choosing the right vehicle
Luggage often decides it
A full set of holiday cases or golf clubs can fill a saloon’s boot before the seats are even full. See our luggage capacity guide for realistic per-vehicle capacities.
Booking for a group
One larger vehicle usually beats splitting a group across several cars — see our group taxi hire guide for how to choose between a minibus and a minicoach.
Need a car and driver for a block of time rather than a single journey? See our hourly hire guide. For business travel, our executive chauffeur guide covers when to book Executive over a standard saloon, and our wheelchair accessible taxi guide covers specifying access needs at booking.
Fleet FAQs
What is the biggest minicab you can book?
Our largest vehicle is a 14-seater minicoach, for large groups, weddings and school trips that would otherwise need two or three separate cars.
What's the difference between a minibus and a minicoach?
In our fleet, minibus covers 8 and 9-seat vehicles, and minicoach covers the larger 13 and 14-seat vehicles. Both are booked and priced the same way — the difference is purely capacity.
Can I book a 9-seater or 13-seater taxi in London?
Yes — every vehicle on this page can be booked for a point-to-point journey or as hourly/as-directed hire (hourly hire is available inside London only). Compare an estimate and select the vehicle when you book.
Does a minibus or minicoach fit luggage as well as passengers?
Each vehicle’s luggage allowance is listed alongside its seats on this page. For a group travelling with a full set of holiday luggage, sizing up a class beyond your headcount is usually the safer choice — see our luggage capacity guide.
Is a wheelchair accessible vehicle available?
Wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) are available by request rather than a standard fleet class — mention your access needs when you book so the right vehicle can be arranged. See our wheelchair accessible taxi guide for what to specify.
