1. Who we are

MiniCabFinder (the “Site”) lets you get an estimated taxi and private-hire fare in the UK and submit a booking request. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to Esskay Enterprise Limited, trading as Esskay Cars, which operates the Site. We are a private hire operator licensed by Transport for London (licence 761703) and provide your journey directly. Esskay Enterprise Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07703565, with its registered office at Hamilton House, 87-89 Bell Street, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 7AN. For the personal data described in this policy, we act as a “data controller” under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Personal data we collect

• Journey details you provide, such as pickup location, destination, date and time, and number of passengers.
• Contact details you provide so we can confirm a booking, such as your name, phone number and email address.
• Enquiry content if you email or contact us with a question.
• Technical and usage data collected automatically, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed, primarily to keep the service secure and working.

We do not intentionally collect special category data and ask that you do not send it to us.

3. How and why we use your data (legal bases)

• To accept and fulfil your booking request — contact you, confirm your journey, and provide it with our drivers and vehicles. Legal basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request prior to entering one.
• To provide fare estimates and respond to enquiries. Legal basis: legitimate interests and/or steps taken at your request.
• To operate, secure and improve the website. Legal basis: legitimate interests in running a safe, reliable service.
• To send marketing only where you have opted in. Legal basis: consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• To meet legal obligations. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

All prices shown before booking are estimates and may vary; the final fare is confirmed by us when we accept your booking.

4. Who we share your data with

We share your booking details internally with the driver assigned to your journey, so they can contact you and provide the journey. We may also share data with service providers who help us run the platform (for example hosting, email and analytics providers) acting as our processors, and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as relying on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum where applicable.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data for our business records — including to respond to future enquiries, resolve disputes, and meet our accounting and tax obligations (typically up to 6 years for financial records, as required by law) — and otherwise until you ask us to delete it. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so except where we are required by law to keep specific records for longer.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access a copy of your personal data;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request erasure in certain circumstances;
• restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
• data portability where applicable; and
• withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised.
