How MiniCabFinder Ltd handles your personal data. Last updated 19 July 2026.
Template notice: This is a good-faith starter policy for a fare-comparison / lead-generation platform. It must be reviewed by a qualified data protection professional and tailored to your final data flows before you rely on it in production.
MiniCabFinder Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates MiniCabFinder, a website that lets you compare estimated taxi and private-hire fares in the UK and submit booking requests. We are a comparison and lead-generation service. We are not a licensed taxi or private-hire vehicle (PHV) operator and do not provide transport ourselves. For the personal data described in this policy, we act as a “data controller” under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We do not intentionally collect special category data and ask that you do not send it to us.
All prices shown are estimates and may vary; we do not set or guarantee the final fare, which is determined by the taxi partner.
When you submit a booking request, we share the details necessary to fulfil it with the relevant independent, locally licensed taxi/PHV operator. That operator is a separate data controller and processes your data under its own privacy policy. We may also share data with service providers who help us run the platform (for example hosting, email and analytics providers) acting as our processors, and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as relying on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum where applicable.
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above, including to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal or accounting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
