Frieze London and Frieze Masters return to The Regent's Park from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 October 2026. The two fairs sit in temporary structures on opposite sides of the park, roughly a fifteen-minute walk apart along the Broad Walk.
That distance is the thing to plan around. Most visitors do both fairs in a day, and the park is a park — there is no road between them.

The Outer Circle is the only road, and it is not a through route
The Regent's Park is ringed by the Outer Circle, and everything about vehicle access follows from one fact: it is not a through road in the ordinary sense. It loops, it has restricted gates, and during Frieze the sections nearest the fair entrances carry far more traffic than they were built for.
Cars can use the Outer Circle. What they cannot do is drive into the park to the fair entrance, and on the busiest days — Thursday and Saturday — the loop itself moves slowly enough that being set down early and walking is genuinely quicker.
The workable approach is to name the gate rather than the fair:
- Chester Road / Chester Gate — closest to the Frieze Masters end and the Broad Walk
- York Bridge, off the Outer Circle near Baker Street — good for the western approach
- Gloucester Gate — the northern option, quieter, better on Saturday
- Great Portland Street station — not a park gate at all, but a reliable ten-minute walk in and by far the easiest place to be collected
Why the pickup is harder than the drop-off
Arriving is straightforward: you choose your time, and the Outer Circle is manageable before about 11am.
Leaving is not. The fairs close at 7pm on most days and 6pm on the Sunday, and several thousand people leave a park with no station inside it. Everyone converges on the same handful of gates at once, in October, frequently in the rain, and phone signal in the middle of the park is unreliable.
Two things follow. First, arrange the return before you go in, with a named gate and a time. Second, if you are carrying anything — a catalogue, a work, anything from the Cork Street galleries afterwards — the walk from the middle of the park to Great Portland Street stops being trivial.
If you are travelling in for the fair
Frieze draws an international audience, and a large share of it lands at Heathrow in the two days before the preview.
Two practical points. The Tuesday and Wednesday before the fair are ordinary weekdays for airport transfers — allow normal peak-hour time and nothing more. But Sunday 18 October, the closing day, is one of the most congested days of the London autumn: the fair's last day coincides with an NFL game at Wembley and the closing gala of the London Film Festival on the South Bank. Flying out that evening is a bad plan unless you leave the fair by mid-afternoon.

Frieze Sculpture, and the quiet way to do it
Frieze Sculpture opens on 16 September and runs until 1 November in the English Gardens — six weeks, free to enter, and open long before and after the fairs themselves.
If your interest is the art rather than the fair week, this is the version worth knowing about. There are no crowds, no ticket, and the park behaves like an ordinary park, which means being dropped at a gate is straightforward on any weekday outside 14–18 October. It is also the only part of Frieze that works well with children.
